- a piece of art made by sticking various different materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric on to a backing
The pieces I create are heavily reliant on and indicative of my personal experiences living in America during the 21st century. My process begins with selecting cut out images, text & backgrounds from magazines and books to stage environments by color scheme, composition, and subject. As my style has developed, I have experimented with incorporating 3D elements such as trim, rhinestones, glitter, etc. to express the maximalist that I am. As the late Iris Apfel exclaimed, "More is more and less is a bore!"
